Christmas Card 2015: O Come O Come Emmanuel (Brass Quintet)
Season's Greetings from the Philharmonia Orchestra! We celebrate this year with a brass quintet of Philharmonia...
Season's Greetings from the Philharmonia Orchestra!
This year we teamed up with Rushey Mead Academy in Leicester. The ensemble includes students from Rushey Mead Academy, Philharmonia MMSF Instrumental Fellows and Philharmonia members performing a wonderful new arrangement of Jingle Bells by the Philharmonia's No. 3 Cello, Richard Birchall.
This film helps launch the Philharmonia's Keep Playing appeal to support our new Young Fellowship Programme, supporting talented 10-15 year-olds from low-income families to realise their musical potential, initially in Leicester. This will be achieved through additional one-to-one lessons with our players, creative weekends and free access to our rehearsals and concerts, working in close collaboration with Leicester-shire Schools Music Service and Awards for Young Musicians.
