The Philharmonia is offering a traineeship within its Music Library. This is an invaluable opportunity to gain insight and experience working with one of the most succesful and busiest Orchestras in the country.
Orchestral Librarianship is a varied and specialised career path. It requires high levels of musical knowledge and organisational skills. You will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s most respected conductors and soloists, and will have a daily relationship with the Philharmonia Orchestra’s players and Concerts Department staff.
Hours: Full-time including some evenings and weekends
Interviews will be held on 3rd January and candidates will be notified before Christmas
The successful candidate would ideally start mid-January and will last 6 months.
Placements are voluntary and unpaid, although travel expenses (maximum equivalent of monthly travelcard, London zones 1 - 6, per month, during each Trainee placement) and a lunch allowance are available.
