Marketing Department Trainee

The Philharmonia Orchestra Marketing Department is offering the opportunity for a trainee to join their busy team to gain experience in a wide range of marketing activities across their concerts in London and residencies throughout the UK. The successful candidate will be able to think creatively as well as possess impeccable organisational skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and an enthusiasm for promoting classical music to audiences all over the UK.

Hours: 9.30am - 5.30pm, 5 days per week, with additional evenings and weekends as required. Placements are voluntary and unpaid, although travel expenses (maximum equivalent of monthly travel card, London zones 1 - 6, per month, during each Trainee placement) and a lunch allowance are available. The traineeship is for 6 months and will run from approximately November 2016 until May 2017.

The Philharmonia Orchestra is one of the world’s busiest orchestras, giving over 150 concerts each year. Uniquely among the London orchestras, in addition to its season at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall it has thriving residencies in the UK at De Montfort Hall, Leicester; the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury; Three Choirs Festival; The Anvil, Basingstoke; and the Bedford Corn Exchange.
