Head of Individual Giving

The Philharmonia Orchestra wishes to appoint an efficient, enthusiastic and experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of fundraising from individuals to undertake this senior role in one of the world’s leading symphony orchestras. The post-holder will be responsible for the Individual Giving Strategy to increase income across all donor levels; from the Friends of the Philharmonia to the higher-level membership schemes. In addition, the post-holder will manage the exploitation of the box office/fundraising database Tessitura to increase income from individuals both offline and online. At least four years’ fundraising experience, a demonstrable track record of fundraising from individuals, specifically membership schemes and higher-level donors, knowledge and experience of fundraising databases and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are essential.

Development Department Trainee

The Philharmonia Orchestra's Arts Management Training Programme offers a unique opportunity to gain inside-track experience in this highly competitive field, within one of the world's premier arts organisations. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about music and the performing arts, and committed to making a career in arts management and administration. The Philharmonia Orchestra's Development Department raises £1.5 - £2m per year from individuals, businesses, trusts & foundations and special events in order to help the Orchestra fulfil its artistic ambitions. As part of the Development Department you will have the unique opportunity to learn about all aspects of fundraising.
