Shakers and Blowers
Several instruments make up this small part of the percussion section, such as the cabasa, shaker and sheep's toe nails.
Shakers and Blowers
The Cabasa is another Latin American instrument. It is a controllable shaker made of metal beads around a central pod with turning handle and serrated edge. The handle is held in one hand, and the beads in the other, then the handle is twisted to make funky rhythms. Hear the Cabasa...as well as whistle instruments.
