Beaters

Here are some examples and demonstrations of various percussion beaters and the techniques for using them.

Beaters (1)

Demonstrations of both soft and hard mallets and beaters on their various instruments (making sure that a hard or metal mallet is never used on the incorrect instruments). This film highlights the importance of the beater, to a percussionist as a bow is to a violinist.

Beaters (2)

Demonstrating more beaters on instruments like the snare drum and the various timbres one can achieve from different beaters on the same instruments. Other instruments featured are the tam tam and tenor drum (with and without dampeners).
