Construction

This film describes double bass construction including different bow types, adjusting strings for good playing position and the use of the C-extension.  Although the construction of the bass is similar to that of other string instruments, there are certain key differences. This article illustrates aspects of the bass's construction such as the two main body shapes for the bass: viol type instruments and violin type instruments.
