In January, the Philharmonia Orchestra traveled to Abu Dhabi for an education project based around Stravinsky's Suite from The Firebird. Led by Paul Rissmann, a group of young musicians created their own 20 minute version of the piece which was performed in front of a packed ballroom at the Emirates Palace Hotel.

As well as the musical project, a group of young artists and designers were given the task of creating animated visuals to go with the new composition. These newly created animations were then projected at the back of the stage during the performance and were mixed with live shots of the performers.
