Following Gil Shaham's sensational performances with the Philharmonia last March, the Orchestra is delighted to welcome him back for a special gala fundraising concert in aid of the Friends of the Philharmonia and the Philharmonia Orchestra on Friday 7 October at 7pm.
Gil Shaham is sought after throughout the world for concerto appearances with distinguished orchestras and the Friends of the Philharmonia are delighted to welcome him to London for one special night with the Soloists of the Philharmonia.
Joined by Concert Master James Clark, first violin Maya Iwabuchi, second violin Julian Milone and principal double bass Neil Tarlton, Gil Shaham will perform a programme featuring Stravinsky's Danse Russe, excerpts from Shostakovich's Cheryomyushki and Prokofiev's Waltz from War & Peace in the splendid surroundings of the Manoukian Cultural Centre.
