The Philharmonia Orchestra perform with Goldie Lookin' Chain

On Tuesday of this week a new musical partnership was born, as a quartet from the Philharmonia Orchestra performed with Welsh rappers Goldie Lookin' Chain at the Digital Music Awards. The four Philharmonia players performed a string arrangement (by Philharmonia violinst Julian Milone) of the backing track for "Your missus is a nutter" at the ceremony which was broadcast on Channel 4.

The Philharmonia Orchestra were also nominated in the Best Event category at the awards for our Live and Online Event. Sadly we didn't win, (that honour went to Live8) but we did have fun at the awards ceremony and got to watch our players perform - click here to see some pictures from the night.
