The Philharmonia Orchestra's innovative Community and Education programme offers music activity across the country delivered by Philharmonia musicians and workshop leaders. Workshops, Study Days, Projects and Concerts cover an array of musical styles and ways of making music.
The Orchestra’s Education Fund was set up in 2002 to provide a solid base for the continuation and development of our Community and Education Programme. Please consider making a donation to the Fund; all donations will go directly into our high quality music projects and activities, reaching people at a ‘grass roots’ level.
Your donation, however large or small, is of great value not only to the Orchestra but also, most importantly, to the schools, youth groups and individuals that we work with.

A gift of £20 helps towards the costs of an education project

£50 pays for a trainee workshop leader to learn by working alongside one of the Orchestra’s experienced workshop leaders

£100 pays for the materials needed for a Family Music Day instrument-building workshop

£150 buys a percussion pack for a school

£250 pays for an INSET training session for up to 40 teachers

£500 pays of Philharmonia Orchestra musicians to coach youth orchestra musicians as part of our Expand the Band collaboration

£1,000 pays the fees for a workshop leader and Philharmonia Orchestra musicians for an education event

£3,000 pays for the production of a DVD teacher training resource as part of the Stepping Stones Project

£5,000 covers the cost of a Music of Today composition project and performance
