As a Corporate Partner of the Philharmonia Orchestra Aon Hewitt have enjoyed two very different client entertaining experiences.
Royal Festival Hall Concert Partnership
In November 2012 the Philharmonia presented the James Bond 50th Anniversary Gala concert at the Royal Festival Hall. As the world's most recorded Orchestra, film and movie scores are an historic part of the Philharmonia legacy and hearing these iconic melodies live is a thrilling experience.
For this one-off evening Aon Hewitt invited clients to enjoy private pre, interval and post-concert receptions in a première hospitality space within the Hall overlooking the Thames and London Eye before joining a packed auditorium of concert goers. The Orchestra, conducted by Carl Davis, performed a selection of well-known hits from the films across the 5 decades celebrating the huge popularity of the James Bond franchise. The evening was hosted and narrated by, arguably the most iconic Bond Girl of them all, Honour Blackman. After the concert, the Maestro Davis, the singers and Honour Blackman all joined Aon Hewitt's guests for drinks at their post-concert reception.
"This type of opportunity is both great fun and enormously impressive. Our clients, and the consultants who hosted, them shared a fantastic evening with unparalleled access to the artists – making it memorable for everyone. The surroundings of the hall, the facilities and the catering were all excellent and the format of the event was straightforward yet effective. The feedback myself and my colleagues received was overwhelmingly positive and a true indicator of just how inspiring an occasion this was and how different it was to many other corporate events."

Private Event Partnership
In January 2013 Aon Hewitt worked with the team at the Philharmonia to create a private event for 50 guests at a central London location. Co-hosted by Philharmonia Managing Director David Whelton and a senior Aon Hewitt representative, "Inspiring Performance – Diversity and Collaboration" drew on the history of women players within the Orchestra to highlight the importance of diversity within an organisation. Following an enlightening discussion, where David shared his thoughts and experience, a string quartet of female players performed and then answered questions about their work and lives. The evening was incredibly well-received by guests who thought it cleverly framed a business topic; and, it gave them direct access and insight to how the Philharmonia works and they enjoyed the way in which the members of the orchestra shared their experiences.
"Working in partnership with the Orchestra allowed us to work creatively and deliver a very enjoyable and unique networking evening that stood out from the usual programme of business-to-business events. The scope and flexibility of working with the Philharmonia Orchestra works very well, their team guided us through the event, providing detailed information and creative suggestions. Working with the Managing Director of the Orchestra was hugely valuable and brought together two very different worlds in an informative and imaginative way. Our guests particularly liked hearing from the musicians and seeing working life through their eyes – a unique experience."

Statements of Support from our Corporate Partners
"Having a cello ensemble from the Philharmonia Orchestra perform at our event was very special. We were presented with a variety of musical options to fit our brief and which worked with the unusual acoustic of the venue. The recital was a perfect post dinner moment allowing our guests to relax and hear the excellent technical ability of the musicians in an intimate surrounding. Working with this calibre of organisation matches our own hospitality aims and objectives, and allowed us to concentrate on the other aspects of the evening."
