The Banks of Green Willow

Written by English composer George Butterworth, The Banks of Green Willow is an orchestral poem composed in 1913. The piece includes two folk melodies that Butterworth found in 1907; and the piece is typical of much English music of the time in its harmonies and pastoral outlook.
