A passionate chamber musician, Chiara also enjoys playing string trios with her parents, members of the Carmina Quartet. She regularly attends the Open Chamber Music Festival of the International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove (UK) which led to performances at the Wigmore Hall in London as well as at the Salzburg Festival in 2012.
She has refined her skills in master classes with renowned musicians such as David Geringas and Ralph Kirshbaum and is especially inspired by her regular work with Steven Isserlis at Prussia Cove.
In 2013 Chiara was awarded 1st prize, the EMCY Prize and a special prize for her performance of the commissioned work at the Witold Lutoslawski International Cello Competition in Warsaw (Poland). She is also the recipient of the 2013 Pierre Fournier Award.
Chiara has studied with Thomas Grossenbacher in Zurich and is now continuing her studies with Jens Peter Maintz in Berlin (Germany). She is grateful for the generous support of the Friedl Wald Stiftung, the Orpheum foundation and the Migros Kulturprozent Studienpreis.
