Pablo Bemsch TENOR

Argentinean tenor Pablo Ricardo Bemsch initially studied violin. From late 2005, he studied singing at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana and Musikhochschule Stuttgart.

He has received lessons from Francisco Araiza, Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli , Bruno Pola and Krassimira Stoyanova. He has been awarded scholarships from Lyra Foundation Zurich and Vontobel Family Foundation Zurich.

He was a member of Zurich Opera Studio in 2009-2011. Having started as a baritone, he changed to tenor in  2010. As a baritone he sung Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia for Opera de San Juan in Argentina.

He joined the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme for the period 2011-2013 and made his Royal Opera debut as Cassio Otello in the Placido Domingo Gala, followed by Moser Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Borsa Rigoletto, Lerma Don Carlo. He covered for Royal Opera House Alfredo La traviata, Rodolfo La bohème, Cassio Otello, Lensky Eugene Onegin. In the staged production during Meet the Young Artists in the Linbury Theatre, he sang in Les Nuits d’été and Tiberge Le Portrait de Manon, Mozart in Mozart and Salieri.
