A move to London in 1998 extended Emily's orchestral experience, performing regularly with the London Philharmonic and BBC Symphony Orchestras, Glyndebourne Touring Orchestra and further afield with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Northern Sinfonia.
In January 2001 Emily took up a permanent position as Co-Principal Second Violin with the prestigious Scottish Chamber Orchestra where she had the privilege of working with such eminent musicians as Sir Charles Mackerras and Alfred Brendel. During her tenure in the orchestra Emily spent a year as acting Principal as well as guest appearances as Principal Second Violin with both the BBC Scottish and Hallé orchestras.
Emily was appointed No. 2 Second Violin with the Philharmonia Orchestra in November 2004 with whom she now enjoys a busy schedule of performing, recording and touring. This position she combines with leading the vibrant Chamber Orchestra 'Sound Collective' and regular recitals as a member of the acclaimed Chamber Ensemble 'Chroma'.
