Over the years Simon has also worked with many other orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra and he also plays regularly with the John Wilson Orchestra. Simon also has a keen interest in singing which has led him to perform recitals in many music club venues across the UK and overseas, as well as singing in education concerts with the Philharmonia Orchestra itself.
In December 2010 Simon became Deputy Chairman of the Philharmonia Orchestra and in December 2011 he was appointed Chairman.
