Graham enjoys a busy and varied chamber music career, both performing and recording for BBC Radio 3. Among others he has performed with the Nash Ensemble, Leopold String Trio; the Florestan, Angel and Gould Piano Trios and the Composers Ensemble. Graham has recorded Schubert’s Trout Quintet with the Leopold Trio and pianist Paul Lewis under Hyperion, and its release has been a huge success including being chosen for Recording of the Week for Classic FM and HMV.

He has been a member of the Philharmonia Orchestra since 1998, works regularly with the Berlin Philharmonic and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe (COE) and has been guest principal with the Royal Concertgebouw, Royal Philharmonic, Stuttgart Radio (SWR), BBC NOW, English National Opera (ENO), Welsh National Opera (WNO), Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia, London Sinfonietta, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa (Japan) and the London Chamber Orchestra. Graham is also a guest tutor for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (NYO)

In recent years, Graham has performed at the Peasmarsh, Corbridge, North York Moors and Kungsbacka chamber festivals, a duet with world-renowned jazz bassist John Patitucci in Mark Anthony Turnage’s A Prayer out of Stillness as well as projects with Christoff Richter, Caroline Widmann, Pekka Kuusisto and Matthew McDonald. Graham was invited by Steven Isserlis to perform at the IMS Prussia Cove Chamber Festival followed by a national tour and Wigmore Hall performance. These performances resulted in IMS Prussia Cove winning the chamber prize at the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Awards in 2008.

Future projects include concerts with Tasmin Little at King’s Place and a tour with the Takács Quartet and Imogen Cooper as well as teaching at the Dartington International Music Festival.

Graham is extremely grateful to the Stradivari Trust in helping him acquire his 1750 Italian double bass attributed to the Testore family.
