Susan Hedger 2ND VIOLIN

Susan Hedger was born in London and started playing the violin aged eight.

She studied with Felix Andrievsky for seven years, including four at the Royal College of Music, and later privately with Grigori Zhislin. She joined the Philharmonia on leaving college as an associate member and has been a full member since 1992.

Susan is a very enthusiastic bridge player and plays regularly with three other players from the orchestra. They play whenever possible on tour, especially on long journeys and when the schedule allows in free time too. She also enjoys swimming regularly, which has included outdoor or open water swimming in the warmer weather, and trying to solve the Times Jumbo cryptic crossword.
