Juraj Valčuha was Assistant Conductor of the Orchestre et Opéra de Montpellier from 2003 to 2005. In the following seasons he made his début with the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. He conducted productions of La Bohème in Paris and Bologna as well as Bartók’s Bluebeard in Lyon.
Between 2007 and 2009 he led the Rotterdam Philharmonic, RAI Orchestra in Turin, Philharmonia Orchestra, DSO Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Swedish Radio, Oslo Philharmonic and the Munich Philharmonic. He made his US début with the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He led the Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice in the first Abu Dhabi Classics season.
In 2009-10 he made his debut with the Staatskapelle Dresden and the National Symphony Washington. He led again the Pittsburgh Symphony, Munich Philharmonic, Philharmonia and the Swedish Radio Orchestra.
In 2010-11 he conducted several programs with the Munich Philharmonic, the Maggio Musicale Orchestra in Florence, Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome, Houston Symphony and Los Angeles Philharmonic as well as La Boheme at La Fenice Venice. With his RAI Orchestra he visited the Abu Dhabi Classics with soloist Yo-Yo Ma.
In 2011-12 he had his debut with the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony and led again the Staatskapelle Dresden, Pittsburgh Symphony, Munich Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris and Orchestra di Santa Cecilia. With his RAI Orchestra he made a tour primarily to the Musikverein Vienna and the Philharmonie in Berlin.
In 2012-13 he made his debut with the New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony and Filarmonica della Scala in Milan. He appeared again with the Philharmonia, National Symphony Washington, Orchestre de Paris and Munich Philharmonic.
