In July 2005 she made her BBC Proms début in the Royal Albert Hall, and in November she made her evening recital début in the Wigmore Hall, both to great critical acclaim. In 2004 she gave a Martin Scholarship recital in the Royal Festival Hall.
Jennifer has appeared as soloist with many of the country’s major orchestras. At the age of eleven she was invited to play Saint-Saëns’ Havanaise with the Hallé Orchestra. The following year she performed with the BBC Philharmonic in the BBC Proms in Hyde Park, and in 2004 she played with the Hallé in the Last Night of the Proms in Manchester, both broadcast on BBC television. She has also performed with the London Symphony Orchestra in the Gramophone Awards Ceremony, the London Mozart Players, City of London Sinfonia, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, European Union Chamber Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony, Liverpool Philharmonic, London Festival and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestras, playing concertos by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bruch and Prokofiev.
This year she has appeared in the Homage to Yehudi Menuhin concert with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in the Barbican Hall, with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in St. David’s Hall, Cardiff, both broadcast on Radio 3, with the BBC Concert Orchestra for Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night and with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra as part of the Vienna Festival.
She has been awarded a postgraduate scholarship to study with David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, beginning at the age of 16. In 2005 she won the prestigious Manoug Parikian Award administered by the Musicians’ Benevolent Fund, and she also gratefully acknowledges the support of the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund and the Hattori Foundation. She is currently playing on a Venetian violin made by Matteo Goffriller in 1708, which has been generously loaned to her by the Saba Young Musicians Trust with the cooperation and assistance of J & A Beare & Co.
