Chris enjoys solo work and chamber music and has recently performed a world première solo work in a BBC Proms Plus concert by the French composer Louis Andriessen. He is also a founder member of Barbican Brass, a quintet which performs recitals throughout the UK in venues such as Spitalfields Festival and the International Artist Managers Association Conference.
Chris has won various competitions for solo performance including First Prize in the Guildhall Armourers and Brasiers Brass Prize and has had the opportunity to perform in the Concordia Foundation recital series. As well as being an MMSF winner, this year Chris is also a prize winner of the Musicians Benevolent Fund and Craxton Memorial Trust.
Throughout his training Chris was heavily involved in Surrey County Youth Orchestras and Bands and was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain as well as being one of the youngest participants to win a place on the LSO St Lukes Brass Academy in 2004.
