Caterina has won numerous prizes including First Prize at the Nissin International Music Competition in Tokyo in 2002, Winner of the Young Musician Competition in Germany in 2005, First Prize (RCM Kendal Taylor Beethoven Piano Prize) at the annual RCM Beethoven Piano Competition and Second Prize at the Intercollegiate Beethoven Piano Competition in 2009, First Prize at the Lagny-Sur-Marne International Piano Competition in Paris in 2010, First Prize at the Norah Sande Award in Eastbourne in 2010, and most recently, First Prize at the 4th Mayenne International Piano Competition in France.
Caterina has given recitals at the Bath Pump Room, Steinway Hall London and Hamburg, Winchester Cathedral, Cadogan Hall and Mozartsaal in Hamburg. Her concerto debut with the Classic Philharmonic Orchestra Hamburg at Laeiszhalle in 2007 led to several invitations from the orchestra to return in 2008 and 2011. Upcoming concert appearances include several performances of Dvorak’s rarely played Piano Concerto in G minor with the Oldenburgisches Staatsorchester in Germany.
Caterina’s studies at the Royal College of Music are generously supported by the RCM Henry Wood Trust, the Philharmonia Orchestra Martin Musical Scholarship Fund, the Myra Hess Scholarship from the Musicians Benevolent Fund and the AHRC supported by the Monica and Guy Black Award.
