Having moved to Europe she studied at the National Opera Studio before taking up Opera Foundation Australia’s Vienna State Opera Award in January 2004 where she sang Enrichetta (I Puritani), the Second Maid (Elektra) and Annina (La Traviata). She has also sung Flora (La Traviata) for the Deutsche Staatsoper in Berlin, Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) for the West Australian Opera, Cherubino and Hansel for Queensland Opera, Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Annina (Der Rosenkavalier) for Scottish Opera and has appeared with the Staatsoper Stuttgart and the Wiener Konzerthaus.
In March 2007 she sang the title-role in Handel’s Ariodante with Les Talens Lyriques and Christophe Rousset at the London Barbican and the Teatro Real in Madrid and for her début with the Bavarian State Opera and the Halle Handel Festival. She sang Meg Page at the Theatre des Champs Elysees and Rosina for West Australian Opera.
Recent engagements have included Ariodante for the Theatre an der Wien, Diana (La Calisto) for La Monnaie in Brussels and Dorabella for Scottish Opera. She will make her début with the Royal Opera, Covent Garden as Arbaces in Arne’s Artaxerxes and will become a resident principal at the Wiener Staatsoper.
