Brian Galliford studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Roles include Herodes (Salome), Don Jerome (Betrothal in a Monastery), Bob Boles and The Rector (Peter Grimes), Iro (The Return of Ulysses), Sir Philip Wingrave (Owen Wingrave), Fatty (Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny) and Piet the Pot (Grand Macabre) in three different productions in Berlin, Antwerp, Hanover and Lisbon as well as the Nationale Reisopera in the Netherlands.
He has been a guest artist at the Royal Opera, English National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival, Welsh National Opera, Bregenz Festival, Wiener Kammeroper and the Netherlands Opera, singing with conductors including Antonio Pappano, Vladimir Jurowski, Hartmut Haenchen, Tugan Sokhiev and Valery Gergiev. He has worked with such directors as Martin Duncan, Daniel Slater, Willy Decker, Harry Kupfer, Tim Albery and Simon McBurney. Future engagements include Caligula at ENO, Ménélas La Belle Hélène at the Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse, A Dog's Heart at La Scala Milan and Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Netherlands Opera, Amsterdam.
