At 12 years old Benjamin made his concerto debut at the Mozart Festival in Istanbul to an audience of 1,000. He has continued to perform to great acclaim internationally and has played concerts in Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Sweden and New Zealand as well as major venues in the UK.

In 2009 Benjamin was the youngest finalist in the prestigious YCAT (Young Concert Artists Trust) Competition at the Wigmore Hall and more recently, in May 2011, he was awarded second prize in the Postacchini International Violin Competition in Italy. In February 2012 Benjamin was awarded 1st prize in the string section of the Royal Overseas League Competition.

At the 2009 Gstaad Festival in Switzerland, Benjamin impressed the Daily Telegraph critic, Michael White, who wrote, ‘A fine account of Vaughan Williams’ Concerto Academico with Benjamin Baker, a sleek-sounding young soloist; Hugely impressive’.

Benjamin has received acclaim both as a soloist and also as a member of the string ensemble, Trio Boyarsky. During 2010 and 2011 he toured France, Scandinavia and New Zealand with Trio Boyarsky as well as pursuing his solo career. Ben released his first solo CD, ‘Arcadian Strings’ in 2005, which won the Classic FM ‘Next Big Thing’ Competition.

Benjamin is currently studying on a full ABRSM scholarship at the Royal College of Music with Professor Natalia Boyarsky.
