Now in great demand as a recital and chamber musician at the most prestigious festivals and venues, Anna-Liisa has also appeared as a concerto soloist with the Moscow Symphony (in the Moscow Conservatory’s Great Hall), Helsinki Philharmonic, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Estonian National, Estonian Chamber, Pärnu Philharmonic, Jyvaskyla Chamber (Finland), Turku Philharmonic, Vaasa Philharmonic, Liepaja Symphony (Latvia), Haydn Chamber, Georgian Chamber, Vilnius Philharmonic, Jena Philharmonic, Zurich Chamber, South Bank Symphony and Guildhall Symphony orchestras, amongst others, as well as with the London Ensemble (at Wigmore Hall, world première).
As a soloist Anna-Liisa has also collaborated with conductors including Leif Segerstam, Olari Elts, Mihkel Kutson, Jason Lai, Robin O’Neill, Eri Klas, Arvo Volmer, Paul Magi, Jyri Alperten, Nikolay Alekseyev, Tibor Boganyi, Sian Edwards and Juha Kangas, and she plays extensively with the renowned pianist Ivari Ilja (pianist to Dmitry Hvorostovsky).
Anna-Liisa’s future plans include the Sibelius Violin Concerto in the Barbican Hall with Sian Edwards; and the Scottish Fantasy as well as concertos by Shostakovich, Elgar, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn and Taneyev at venues around the UK and in Finland. She released her début CD this year, in collaboration with the pianist Ivari Ilja for ALBA Records, and future plans include a recording of the Tamberg Violin Concerto in Estonia. Her playing has been heard on several occasions on Finnish and Estonian national television and radio, on NBC in the US and on BBC Radio 3.
Since 2007 Anna-Liisa has taught at both the Estonian Music Academy and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
