Esa-Pekka Salonen will carry the Olympic flame on the penultimate day of the Olympic Torch Relay, Thursday 26 July, the day before the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Salonen, Torchbearer No. 40, will be given the Olympic flame at around 9.40am on Thursday 26 July, day 69 of the 2012 Torch Relay.
Esa-Pekka will run in The City of London, starting on St Martin's Le-Grand, then continuing along Cheapside and King Street before finishing on Gresham Street. The distance covered will be 330 yards but please note that the exact route is subject to change.
