The Friends of the Philharmonia plays a vital role in the life of the Orchestra. With the support of its members the Philharmonia is able to consistently achieve the highest in international standards of music making, and take this message and quality all around the world from our homes in London’s Southbank Centre, Bedford Corn Exchange, and De Montfort Hall, Leicester.
Becoming a member provides an exclusive set of benefits, as well as adding to your experience of the Philharmonia’s world class music making. We offer our members a unique involvement into how an internationally acclaimed Orchestra works, by way of access to open rehearsals, involvement in Community and Education projects, exclusive chamber concerts, and a range of special members' events throughout the year.
The recent development of our on-line shop and other ground-breaking digital projects, have pushed the Philharmonia to the forefront of technological developments within the classical music industry. As a member you will be among the first to hear about exciting new projects – directly from the Orchestra that performed the first classical concert streamed live on-line (watched by 660,000 people all over the world) and the first downloadable classical podcast in October 2005.
Our members' vision and support is truly what keeps our endeavours alive. Become a Friend and discover the Philharmonia Orchestra from a different perspective.
