Finnish Folk Music - Pekka Kuusisto Home Video - August 2017
We’re thrilled to share the second instalment of violinist Pekka Kuusisto’s folk song videos from his home in Finland. This tune is a minuet from the village of Tuikka (Tjöck) in Ostrobothnia, a region of western Finland.
Pekka will be sending us videos every few weeks through the end of December, each featuring a traditional folk tune from Finland. This forms part of our digital offering for our involvement in Southbank Centre’s Nordic Matters festival, the Nordic Music Days festival (also at Southbank Centre) at the end of September 2017 and the Finland 100 centenary celebrations.
