On a sunny July morning, the penultimate day of a route that had begun in May, Esa-Pekka Salonen, the Philharmonia Orchestra's Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor picked up the Olympic Torch to run his leg of the relay route.
Esa-Pekka ran 300 meters along Cheapside, near St Paul's Cathedral. Lining the route on either side were crowds cheering him on, as well as our film crew.
