The Philharmonia Orchestra, under the leadership of their Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor Esa-Pekka Salonen, will be touring the United States throughout November 2012. Performing in Illinois, California and New York, this marks one of the most substantial American tours ever undertaken by the orchestra. With a programme of works including Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique and Berg’s Wozzeck opera, the Philharmonia bring to America a selection of some of their highly-acclaimed London performances.
Throughout the series, violist Sam Burstin will be blogging about the sights, sounds and stories of the tour. Read his latest entry here.
