The Philharmonia Orchestra's Spring-Summer 2008 season is now open for booking!

Season highlights include:

  • An opening concert with Mikhail Pletnev conducting Beethoven’s Symphonies Nos. 8 & 9
  • Christoph von Dohnányi’s farewell performances as the Orchestra’s Principal Conductor

     

     

  • The return of the sensational young conductor Gustavo Dudamel, whose relationship with the Orchestra has gone from strength to strength since his début in 2005
  • An eagerly awaited Brahms Retrospective conducted by Lorin Maazel
  • Part 1 of Vaughan Williams: The Pioneering Pilgrim, a major celebration to mark the 50th Anniversary of Vaughan Williams’ death, conducted by Richard Hickox
  • Concerts with many of our distinguished artists and audience favourites including Emanuel Ax, Frank Peter Zimmermann, Till Fellner, Boris Berezovsky, Lars Vogt and Andreas Haefliger.
