The Philharmonia Orchestra welcomes back dynamic Russian maestro Alexander Lazarev for a series of concerts around the UK celebrating music by composers who lived and composed in, and depicted Russia's two greatest musical cities.
In his programmes Lazarev explores the two very contrasting yet equally fascinating schools of Russian composition taking place in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and is proud to present some of the rarely heard great Russian masterpieces alongside more well known repertoire.
