Series

Some of the best-loved orchestral music of the 20th and 21st centuries, listened to by audiences of millions around the globe, has been composed not for the concert hall but the cinema. In Philharmonia at the Movies, experience live the music that has defined some great film moments. The series opens with a screening of Eisenstein’s 1925 masterpiece Battleship Potemkin, with its famous and much-imitated Odessa Steps sequence.
