The Philharmonia Orchestra's residency at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury is the first by a major symphony orchestra in Kent, performing six concerts each year.

In the 2016/17 season, The Orchestra brings venerable conductors Vladimir Ashkenazy (15 March 2017) and Herbert Blomstedt (28 May 2017) to The Marlowe Stage. Alongside, the first half of the season features dramatic programmes, including Beethoven's Fifth and Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet. Completely the season, The Best of John Barry heralds the return of the popular Philharmonia at the Movies series.
