One of the Philharmonia Orchestra's four official residencies. The residency, the first by a major symphony orchestra in Kent, sees the Philharmonia perform a series of concerts each year at The Marlowe Theatre, as well as forging links with local education organisations.

Concerts in Canterbury feature many of the same projects which take place in London and internationally, including in 2014/15, conudctor Vladimir Ashkenazy's Sibelius series, marking the 150th anniversary of the composer's birth, as well as the arrival of the Philharmonia's exciting new London series, Philharmonia At The Movies: Sci-Fi hosted by the legendary Barry Norman.

Artists who are performing in Canterbury this season include conductors Vladimir Ashkenazy, Paavo Järvi, Nicholas Collon, James Shearman, Diego Matheuz and Christian Kluxen, alongside violinists Guy Braunstein and Esther Yoo, pianist Martin Helmchen, trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth and cellist Alisa Weilerstein.
