The Philharmonia Orchestra is about to begin its 12th season as Orchestra in Partnership with The Anvil, Basingstoke.

Concerts in Basingstoke feature many of the same projects which take place in London and internationally, including in 2013/14, the Philharmonia’s series of special concerts marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of Richard Strauss and Andris Nelson’s Brahms cycle. Artists who are performing in Basingstoke this season include conductors Esa-Pekka Salonen, Lorin Maazel, Christoph von Dohnányi, Andris Nelsons and Jakub Hrůša, along with pianists Hélène Grimaud and Piotr Anderszewski, and cellist Truls Mørk.

This season, will also see the return of  the Philharmonia's ground-breaking music education project, Orchestra Unwrapped, which will give Hampshire's primary school children the chance to hear the Philharmonia Orchestra live at The Anvil.
