The Philharmonia has been Ochestra in Partnership at The Anvil, Basingstoke, since 2001.

This season sees three big projects from the London series in Basingstoke: Vladimir Ashkenazy's Rachmaninov Project, Paavo Jarvi's Nielsen series, and Esa-Pekka Salonen's collaboration with pianist Piere-Laurent Aimard. In the latter programme, the Horn section of the Philharmonia gives the world premiere of Tansy Davies' Concerto for Four Horns and Orchestra. Elsewhere Jakub Hrůša conducts Dvorak and Philharmonia at the Movies returns with a John Barry programme.

Outside the five concerts, Orchestra Unwrapped gives Hampshire's primary school children the chance to eperience the Philharmonia Orchestra live at The Anvil; Music of Today brings cutting-edge contemporary music to the hall; and pre-concert talks give new perspective on the works performed.
