Residencies

The Philharmonia Orchestra's residency at the Marlowe in Canterbury is the first by a major symphony orchestra in Kent, performing six concerts each year.

In the 2017/18 season, the Orchestra brings both British and international talent to the Marlowe Stage, including violinist Elena Urioste and UK-based conductors Alpesh Chauhan (17 Oct) and John Wilson (8 Nov). Alongside, the Orchestra’s Principal Guest Conductor Jakub Hrůša performs Mahler’s dramatic Fifth Symphony. Later in the season, Love Stories from the Silver Screen heralds the return of the popular Philharmonia at the Movies series (8 April).
