The Philharmonia Orchestra and Esa-Pekka Salonen present a series marking the 100th Anniversary of Messiaen's birth, including performances of the composer's most epic works. These concerts form part of a major Messiaen festival at Southbank Centre under the Artistic Direction of Pierre-Laurent Aimard.

We have created a special Messiaen mini-site which includes a whole host of multimedia resources and articles written by Nigel Simeone, Professor of Historical Musicology at Sheffield University and author of several books on Messiaen.
