Katy Woolley horn

“Katy Woolley showed herself here to be a worthy inheritor of this orchestra’s outstanding horn tradition, which goes back to the great Dennis Brain and Alan Civil” Alan Sanders, Seen and Heard, February 2015

Concertgoers have a rare chance to see Katy Woolley, the Philharmonia’s brilliant principal horn, playing Richard Strauss’s ravishing Second Concerto, alongside Beethoven’s overture to a Goethe’s Egmont, and Brahms’s valedictory Fourth Symphony, which climaxes in a variation finale of awesome power.

This concert is supported by The Revd John Wates OBE and Mrs Carol Wates
