An evening of triumphant British music concludes the 2014 Three Choirs Festival, featuring coronation anthems across the centuries, including Handel’s Zadok the Priest and Parry’s I Was Glad.

British mezzo-soprano, Sarah Connolly, joins the Philharmonia Orchestra for a spectacular rendition of Elgar’s song cycle Sea Pictures, which evokes the ever-changing images of the sea.

‘Land of Hope and Glory’, the famous tune from Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance No. 1, will bring the concert to a moving close.

This concert is part of the Three Choirs Festival series
