Walton Belshazzar's Feast

Adrian Partington presents a concert which marries the works of three great British composers: Vaughan Williams, Elgar and Walton. Following on from Vaughan Williams's dexterously orchestrated Prelude and Fugue, Elgar’s Falstaff follows the plight of Sir John Falstaff, who is otherwise known as the "fat knight" of Shakespeare's Henry IV parts 1 and 2. Alongside, is Walton's tale of freedom and exile, Belshazzar's Feast

This concert is part of the Three Choirs Festival series
