This concert marks the culmination of the 2011 International Conductors’ Academy of the Allianz Cultural Foundation, an annual joint initiative of the Allianz Cultural Foundation, the Philharmonia and London Philharmonic orchestras and Southbank Centre, whereby three exceptionally talented young conductors on the brink of their professional careers are offered intensive mentoring and training. Previous participants have included Gustavo Dudamel. This evening’s programme features all three of this year's conductors and has been designed to showcase their skills and to offer audiences the chance to witness the stars of the future making their Royal Festival Hall debuts.
