Barts Choir celebrates Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a feast of music for royal occasions from the 18th to the 21st centuries. Handel's Coronation Anthems were first sung at the coronation of King George II, and Zadok the Priest has been heard at every coronation since. I Was Glad was written by Parry for the coronation of King Edward VII, Walton's Crown Imperial for that of George VI, and his Te Deum for the 1953 coronation. We come up to date with music from the 2011 royal wedding, including Paul Mealor's Ubi Caritas, written for that occasion. You can join in the celebration with Vaughan Williams's arrangement of the Old Hundredth, Parry's Jerusalem and the National Anthem.
