Powell A Prussian Requiem(World première)

An evening of music commemorating the First World War, featuring renowned film composer John Powell’s new oratorio, A Prussian Requiem. Rising-star cellist Sol Gabetta performs Elgar’s masterpiece, a haunting elegy for those lost in the Great War. Vaughan Williams’s nostalgic, ever-fresh The Lark Ascending completes the programme.
