Rachmaninov Symphony No. 2

Vladimir Ashkenazy inherited his musical gift from a Russian heritage steeped in music. He is equally at home in front of an orchestra as he is on a piano stool and is one of a few global artists who have combined a successful career as both performer and conductor and is equally adored at both. He conducts this concert in a programme of Sibelius and Rachmaninov.
