Beethoven Series 2012
This year Esa-Pekka Salonen and the Philharmonia undertook a Beethoven symphonic series, an exploration of some of the cornerstones of the orchestral repertoire that traveled from London across Europe, culminating in a complete symphony cycle at the Bonn Beethovenfest in October 2012. Philharmonia violists Sam Burstin and Gijs Kramers take us behind the scenes.
