The trio is mentored by renowned pedagogues David Takeno and Christopher Elton and will work extensively with Thomas Brandis at the Royal Academy. They are Park Lane Group Young Artists, appearing in the New Year Series at the Southbank in January 2011, and award winners of the Philharmonia Orchestra MMSF.

This season the trio performs in the UK and Germany including début recitals at the Purcell Room, Kings Place and St James Piccadilly and travel to Norway to participate in the Trondheim Chamber Music Academy and Festival, performing Fauré's Piano Quartet No. 2 with violist Lawrence Power.

Chiao-Ying Chang has distinguished herself as one of the leading pianists of her generation after winning major prizes in the Leeds, ARD Munich, Taiwan, AXA Dublin and Ettlingen International piano competitions. Her teachers include Christopher Elton and Maria Curcio. As a Soloist she has performed with the Hallé, Royal Philharmonic, Vienna Operetta, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Regensburg Philharmonic, and San Francisco Symphony Orchestras and made her débuts at both Carnegie Hall, New York and Wigmore Hall, London.

Described by the Strad Magazine as ‘Acutely Tuned Musicianship’, Sulki Yu has appeared as a soloist with the Orchestre Nationale de Lille, the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra and the Budapest Symphony Orchestra. She is a prize winner of the 2006 Yehudi Menuhin and 2007 Szigeti-Hubay International violin competitions. She is finishing her Masters Degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with David Takeno. The Cellist Pei-Jee Ng has recently completed his studies with Ralph Kirshbaum. He was a winner of the Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year competition in 2001 and selected for management at the 2008 Young Concert Artists Trust auditions in London. He recently toured the USA as soloist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra appearing at Royce Hall, Los Angeles and Carnegie Hall, New York.
